kalbarri trip, where to stay

Hi guys ,Im taking the family to
Kalbarri next week with a camper van,What I would like to know is where can we stay,as we will be taking 2 small dogs,we dont mind
free camping .Also is anyone from the
forum going to be there , so we can catch up

Hi Uppy,
The only van
park in
Kalbarri that allows dogs is
Red Bluff CP. This one is located virtually on
the beach at
Red Bluff, but is a few kays from
Kalbarri town itself (OK to ride bikes to, but a bit far to walk). The van parks (3) in
Kalbarri itself do not allow dogs. I have stayed at all 4 CP at
Kalbarri and prefer Anchcorage CP, but they are all a much and muchness, mainly location my reason for
Anchorage.
As for
free camping, its all National Parks or too close to town limits for
free camping (the rangers are pretty hot on this) and you will find that a van
park is required (bugger - I know!).
