Anyone using Anti Hacking Security software out there?

I am getting hammered by 203.147.170.134 Police.nsw.gov.au/WebCentral Pty Ltd AP2P

The ip address is ExplorOz homepage!

A goood firewall should be good enough, or a $200 P800 Linux box inbetween your winblows machine, and the internet is another cheap insurance policy.

Yep, dual layer protection.

I'd reckon you'd be crazy to be surfing the net these days without firewalls etc.

That is a cool one how are you getting hits from my machine? Can you tell me what ports the requests are comming in on as this is news to me - there is NO software or functionality on the site that would be sending any requests back to your computer except standard HTTP GET and POST strings that are required to make your browser work.

Hello David,

It is HTTP port 1277 & 1278 used for your page. Web Central is a Brisbane server.
My only concern was with the id for ip address been the Police.NSW.The ip blocker(Peer Guardian) lists a range of 'baddies' and the ExplorOz ip is one listed!
The page functions inspite of blocking some access.

Apologies.....good to know my rubbers are working

Mate I have never heard of this one before. I will email our ISP and see what they say. What ISP are you using for your connection if you do not mind me asking. I wonder if there is something installed somewhere that is probing. It is not showing up on my firewall. Anyway I will see what is advised.
