Hi all,
My nephew has a 1999 4.2 GU TD ute. There is a problem with the sub
tank. Pressing the sub
tank switch does nothing but the sub
tank indicator on the dash is on all the time. The sub
tank pump does not run. Nothing obvious with the wiring.
Any clues?
Thanks, Phil I

My Ti did that.
It seemed it was because I had let the Sub
Tank run empty , and so , it could pump nothing , so it shut down.
Fixed by disconnecting the battery for 15 mins (resets the puter).

Gday Phil
Disconnecting battery will reset sub
tank contol module. Make an earth strap from the chassis to the body.

Hi Phil
I have had the same problem and yes there is a mini computer that controls it. Undo the negative of 1st your second battery if you have one fitted and then remove the negative from the start battery after 30 seconds reconnect start battery, then secondary battery and the computer will have reset,
