Hello, I have a 2004 Model Nissan Navara ST-R with a steel bullbar fitted as a genuine part. I am having some trouble identifying appropriate recovery points at the front of the vehicle, or for thaqt matter an appropriate fixing point for aftermarket recovery hooks.
Has anybody fitted hooks, or perhaps offer some words of wisdom in the way of advice?
Cheers!

I'm sitting here at looking out the window thinking thats a 2004 Navara why not have a look at that,
well looking under the front the only place i could see is where the tiedown points are ya know that part of the chassie in front of the steering control arm that the body bolts too, i would assume thats where they have bolted the bullbar to as
well.
Baz.

sttopid design at the nissan factory for our model im afraid either a RUD one (expensive) or a custom one apparently there is some truck style one that fit but its trial and error and of course they arent rated recovery hooks .
If you have a factory bullbar or tjm or arb you can see where the right size holes for rated recovery hooks go and its 1 1/2 inches shorter unless you want to drill into the end chassis rail and weld a nut on the inside .
dont use the mount hole on the bullbar as these are weak as bleep and despite what ARB say they will bend ( i know ).
AT the end of the chassis rail there is a spot where you could easy put a eyelet recovery point with a nut on the end of the bolt in the chassis rail.
for the rear use your hitch receiver (if fitted ?)
hope this helps

Or alternatively is it possible to install eyelets (those recovery rings) to the bull bar? THe bull bar is made to accept a warn 9000lb winch so I presume it is securely attached to the vehicle.

I've just fitted two recovery hooks to my 99 Navara. I use one of the bullbar mounting bolts (fitted longer HT bolt) and drilled a hole through the chassis rail and fitted a second HT bolt through the bull bar and chassis rail. For the rear I do as Toonfidsh suggested.
