I resently returned from a
camping trip, where the
water in my camper has a bad taste.
It is a X caravan tankand I cleaned it with miltons baby bottle cleaner and bi carb soda and still can't get the terrible taste out.
Hope some one can help me.
Also I am looking for rims to suit a 2001 pardo as I would like to put them on my camper.
Hope someone can assist me
Shawie

pour in a small amount of bleach, top up with
water let it slosh about for a while and then flush it several times until the bleach smell has gone.
If you used clear hoses for the
water from the
tank you might have the bacteria growing in them, not the
tank, as they need light to prosper, I'm told.

Yeah I've also heard if you have clear hoses, just wrap them up with Black extrical tape, will help keep it dark in there.

If all these others don't work try home brew keg, fermenter and line cleaner leave it in there for 24hrs and rince
well, really really
well and change your hoses if you have not got the
drinking water hoses.

If you don't already, use
drinking water grade hoses and not the garden hose to fill it up.
You can get these at a caravan accessories place, and they'll also sell some
tank cleaning products - can't vouch for them though.

It is ESSENTIAL to fill the
tank with
drinking water hose .
Ordinary garden hose will leave a plastic taste that will not go away

I think I will start with the hose replacement, and then try the other follow ups.
Thanks

Hi shawie,
all of the advice is good, that is unless you filled up at
Adelaide, if thats the case bad luck, nothing gets rid of the taste of
Adelaide water. (or the memory of it) LOL
