We would be very grateful for any comments from people who have had experience with the Goldstream Sovereign camper trailer. We want to be able to tow it with our Pajero on roads like the road out to
Chambers Pillar.

Thanks Bob & Deb. Our hearts are set on the type of camper trailer that has a caravan type setup. The Goldstream seems to be the best for us and we are now just doing our final homework.

Hi Craigevar,
I have a Goldstream Sovereign camper trailer which tows really
well behind the disco td5 as it is lower than the car so no wind drag.If anything it is a bit weighty but once up to speed is no problem.Am not familiar with the road to
chambers pillar but if it is a rough dirt road the rv version would be the way to go.A very spacious van with a luxury finish and with two people set up is around ten minutes.
Cheers Mark

Thanks Marcus. That sounds like good news. How do find it for sealing out dust on dirt roads? We intend to buy the offroad version. Is yours the offroad version? So that we can get a sense of its capabilities could you give us a couple of examples of rough roads that you have taken your Goldstream on.
Many thanks. We really appreciate your time.

.Hi Craigevar,
Sorry about the slow reply just got back from o/s.
Mine is the on road version, the off road comes with heavier
suspension and chassis. The weather and dust seal looks good and the roof clamps down tight on to it so i would say dust ingestion would be minimal.Took
mine to
Cairns as an excersize to see towability, set up at night and fuel usage and came away thinking good set up but believe there are better set ups around. The soveriegn is huge and spacious when set up and i believe the goldstream goldstar through great design is smaller, lighter and just as roomy. The other van new on the market i give top marks is the Windsor Rapid off road version.About 1/3 the set up of the Goldstream and if on the road for overnight stops this really matters.I do all the tricks such as a cordless drill to wind down the four stabilisers, pull out the beds and prop them ,wind up the roof then the worst bit ,fitting the door assembly. If in one spot for several days it all seems worthwhile but for overnight seems a lot of work. The Rapid cuts out most of this work.My van lives on site so suits me as it is set up with a flyover for protection and i love the size but for travelling i would think lighter and less set up.Just my opinion.
Cheers Mark
