I am sure some of you have seen these vehicles but I am amazed at their depicted ability.

Woolies isn't too bad. It's those underground places in the city you have trouble with. Although if you can't get parked at Darling Harbour you can talk to the guy at the carpark entry and they will let you park in an area behind the convention centre. It's shaded by the expressway overhead and is way closer to everything than the underground one and it's cheaper.

On the Unimog, I know a guy who worked fro a mission organisation in India for years, because they could not afford heaps of vehicles they saved up and bought a Mog. It was used for everything, school bus, goods delivery, all the usual stuff including ploughing the field for the local farmers.

Years ago, in the days of the V8 Torana, I did one of those 4wd bus trips up the beach at Tewantin. On the way back I was sitting up front next to the driver and commented on his speed, 110km/h. He laughed and said I should wait until we got passed by one of the big Merc's doing about 160km/h. I thought he was joking, he wasn't. Unimog.

Pretty impressive for a vehicle of it's size and weight.
No under power situation with that thing.
That climb looks about 40 deg on the approach, not to shabby at all.

From a practicality point of view.......I wonder how they get the spare wheel down from that height, if it is ever needed. And who lifts the other back up?

Nice approach and departure angle...can see the GQ doing a see-saw up there :-)

How much fun would a practical comparison be with the Pinzgauer and the big Unimog?
