Good Morning!
I had a slight problem on the weekend with my air locker not engaging. Slight in that when I really really really REALLY needed it, it wouldn't engage. Anywho, I'm having it looked at.
In the meantime, firstly, where would you run the air line if your compressor was in a drawer setup in the back of the car. Would you run it into the cab from the front diff or run it along the chassis? And secondly, would you run ARB's heavy duty airlocker line kit, or is the crappy looking blue air line good enough?
Thanks again for the tips guys and gals.
Chris.

Under the car hard up against the chassis and the blue line is ok for me at this stage...I think if you snag either line you are in trouble...I agree that the blue line looks 10 cents but why would something go wrong if it is secured properly....

Thought that might be the way, but I wasn't sure. I guess to if the line at some stage cracks whilst running in the guards or something, it wouldn't smell pretty!
Don't mind so much the look, but it's the rocks etc that flick up.
Thanks for your help mate!!!

Get some of that 'flexy' lookin plastic that they use on wiring, and run it inside that along the top of chassis..
If your really worried then along the floor inside the cab is an option, then thru a grommet in the firewall downwards. Just leave enough slack for articulation.

Yeah, that's what I was tinkin' mate.
You ever had probs with the blue air line? Could run it under the new crappy looking covers they put on the floor as trims next to the door.
Thanks mate,
Chris.

Chris,
If your planning to run your line outside the cab, make sure you get ARB to give you a line repair kit incase you get a pinhole to the line. Its alwasy a good thing to have in the tool kit just incase the damage is caused on your way OUT of where you went using the locker. Personally I have not had any problems yet, but like all mechanicals, I am sure eventually something will happen.
Cheers Angelo

And just a word on lockers......It has made me so lazy..... I dont even entertain the idea of not having it on even on smaller challenges....I almost turn it on when i see a gravel driveway.....
But seriously,,,, the most difference i have seen it make is in deep sand...Going up and over or along
soft beach sand....
A better run-up or a different approach can most times be had on a hard and undulating
hill climb but in soft sand an extra wheel turning makes a hell of a difference....
But having said that,,,, i have had a couple of instances where i could not make a
hill climb because of bastard rutts without the locker...
