Morning again,

I've promised a few that I'd post images of the pod I had custom made to hold the boost and pyro gauges on the Patrol.

I pretty much suck at this image posting thing, but hopefully the below will link you to the photos.

If it doesn't...HELP!

Cheers

We haven't decided as yet but it is on the cards we are leaning towards the Patrol mainly because of the issues with the 100 series diff if we update has to be newer than the Explorer and so far the Patrol is winning in price and durabilty.

The only issue with that is its out of eye line.. I went with a normal dashpod on top of the dash that you can see easily, specially when tackling offroad, you dont wanna take ya eyes off the ruts etc if you dont have to and seeing the EGT then is REALLY handy!

Being 6"4, I don't really have to strain to look...and when offroad, the E.G.T's never get to anywhere I get concerned about, I just idle everywhere with the locker. I have enough stuff on the dash as it is in the screen for the nav unit, and my pod for the hand held GPS.

I guess it depends on what you do...

unless you were 3"0 it would never be in eye line is what I was gettin at. I guess qld being flat, some of the long slow drags out high country are massive, locker or not, you have to drive them, adn the EGT gets up..

Mate, you crack me up, your a tough nut to crack! ;-)

Just doin' what I was asked, postin the pics...for me it works, for you, probably not, but done the long run up Toowoomba range, with just a quick flick of the eyes, knew what I was runnin.

You've got all the toys anyway in the GQ, just putting some suggestions out there for the GU owners if they are looking for a spot and don't want it on the dash!

Cheers mate,

Chris.

Mate,

Can't take the wraps, my auto lecky did it. He has an in house motor trimmer who rents some space off him. He built the box, the motor trimmer obviously did the fabric.

Cheers mate,

Chris.

I agree mate. Always good to see others ideas as its good to have some independent feedback. Plus, you might not think of a way like someone else does!

Cheers,

Chris.
