I am looking to put a second battery in a 2.8D dual cab hilux. I would like to avoid putting it in tray and was interesed in other alternatives. The battery I have is 300mm (L) x 175mm (W) x 225mm (D).

Under the bonnet seems out of the question without major modifications. It seems that it may be possible under the tray to the passenger side of the spare.

Voxon,

Thanks for the info. If you mate has a tub (ie not trayback) like myself I assume that he would have to load the battery in from the bottom with the leads already connected. Do you know if he has extended leads to allow this or something like an anderson style plug?

Cheers

Hi Greg the old man has a dual cab too, he has kitted his vehicle out, and the dual batt sits at the rear of the vehicle in a box mounted under the tray to the chasis.
hope it helps
