The feedback I received was wonderful.
A big thankyou to Jack for the photos he sent me.
Based on the responses I decided to try out a bow saw first. Went to Bunnings and found they varied from $4 to $15. I bought the $15 job, a "Jack" brand, it had to be an omen, and a spare blade for $9.
I'll give this a run before I consider a chainsaw.
Cheers,
Jim.

Bowsaw is good but I've found
mine to be hard on the arm when sawing up a stack but I'm just a skinny runt. Good luck.

Well done. I was considering a chainsaw but now im going to get a bush saw too!
Im sick of listening to chain saws whilst
camping, so you have made the best choice!!
Just hope we dont end up screaming in pain from all sawing, blisters and all...
Cheers
Dave.

As a committed bow/bush saw user, the one thing I do know is that you don't have to saw it all up at once ... just when needed. Easier on the arms, few (if any) blisters.
Happy cutting
Jack

You can pass the saw around to anyone else too including SWMBO without worrying about her cutting her leg off LOL.

Very true Jack. I just like to prepare myself to get 6 sheets to the wind. Can't be bothered getting up to cut wood once I've settled down for a few ales.
