Hi All,
We are contemplating a trip to Coral Bay/
Exmouth,
Karratha (we have friends there),
Monkey Mia and Quobba Station starting mid April 2005 for 4 weeks in a tent.
What are the weather conditions like in these
places for this time of year?
Cheers
MS

difficult to answer as that is very much a change of season time of the year chances are it will still be quite hot and there is always a chance of a late cyclone

I've heard of that site but hadn't looked hard enough to find it. Thanks equinox, it's now saved as a favourite

These areas only receive rain when there is a cyclone, they will only come low enough late summer,
Coral Bay only gets about 5mm a year hence the reef is so close to shore. In saying this it should be very dry and up to low 40's, which is fantastic for holidays I would hate to work in it though.

I hate the heat, but have thoroughtly enjoyed the area around May. On hot days we choose to drive (with air con) through the worst part of the day. One day we stayed out in the sun fishing (didn't catch much either) and i had a funny turn in the heat. Stay in the shade in the middle of the day, and enjoy the climate and the scenery. Great to get home in June and show off your sun tan.

Ive worked up that way for a few years, fishing etc. Winter is the BEST time up there by far, 1st school hols of the year was rained out a couple of times while I was there, but generally it is magic. Lots of sand tracks, do the
coral bay to yardie drive,
camp almost anywhere next to
the beach. Just check that yardie
creek is passable first
