Anybody used these?
I'm thinking about getting one of these for my LC100 and putting my CB, CB speaker, GPS on top and Silva C58 compass on top.
Anybody any experience of pods? Good, bad, indifferent?

Hi Mike-TS,
I've had one in the Patrol for nearly 12 months now with UHF and GPS installed/mounted in it and haven't had any problems with it. It's had corrugations and the likes thrown at it and hasn't budged.
Cheers,

Mike, I have had a dashboard pod, now on my second GU, since 1989 no prblems at all. The vinyl is still like new. Found the best way to fit it is to velcro a dash mat in place and just use the hook side of velcro to attach to mat, hasn't moved despite many corrigations.
Cheers Rob

Gday Mike,
A little off the mark, but I have the Dept. of Interior _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx which are very good qaulity!
I had a look at the pod, and it looked extremely
well finished and useful.
Good luck,
Chris.

I have a DOI dashpod, and Roof console. Both cheap and second hand from the club.
The dashpod holds the turbo gauges, is great quality and fitment. But IMHO I dont think that the price matches the item - quality is there, but theres about $40 in material..
Roofconsole holds 2 radios and on the
woods point road one night, it fell off and hit wife in head.. Yes she was happy.

I had one of the first roof consoles made for a GU, took it off after 12 months simply because it retained the sunglass holder but lost the map lights. I replaced it with a dash pod and could not be happier with it. Has stood up to everything over the last 4 years
