Have a look at Post 12428.
I haven't experienced them myself, but I understand that they are a pretty good all-rounder, handle very
well on road and reasonably good off road.

When I replaced tires on the pathy, I looked at them side by side with Coopers ST, BFG AT, Pirelli Scorpions, and OPATs... And in that order was the aggressiveness of them.
The OPAT which I had read on here had a brilliant reputation as a bulletproof tire for bush travel on small/med 4b's is one reason why I looked at them.
IMHO they were nothing more than a HT(Highway terrain).. Very poor if they were a AT. Bit dissappointing really, specially for the terrain around the club property where it would get used most.
Went for the Pirellis in the end, while they are no BFG or Coopers, I couldn't get either of them in the size I wanted!
What sort of driving do you intend to do with them? 75/25 touring/road? etc..

Hi Truckster
mainly bitumen, dirt/gravel roads while towing van (1800kgs) and hopefully not too much really serious stuff not towing van (SWMBO not into hardcore stuff) looking at the OPAT LT tyres because of the good run out of the toyo M55 ones at present.

I think you would be VERY happy with the OPATs.

I've got Opats on the Jerry Can. Seem to work as
well as any other A/T's. Nothing brilliant in mud. Shoulder lugs are just good enough to get some grip in mud by wiggling the steering wheel, therefore better than H/T's. Quite quiet on road and are reputed to wear very
well.
I'll let you know how they go is sand after the
Robe trip in two weeks.
Cheers,
Jim.

In sand road tires are always better than aggressive, they should rock at
robe.

had them on the patrol for awhile now, comming up to 60k. tyre guy reckons i got about another 25-30k to go.
great on the highway, great offroad for an A/T. run them at 36psi on bitumen.
as low as 8 when i got real bogged the other weekend up near Wedge (had the camper on the back). have not had a problem on gravel-
rock-sand,,,,,,just let me down abit in some real gloopy mud. will be getting them again when these ones wear out.

Thanks One and All,
With real life testamonials like these, why would anyone buy any other tyre except for mud/
rock use. it seems that toyos outdo the famed
coopers in milage.
thanks everyone for confirming my decision.
