Hi Stevie.
I spoke to the Service Manager at Canon Toyota again..
He said he cannot to a 'Prior' until they've pulled it apart.. Even though I have a couple of teeth from the crownwheel/pinion in my hand..
So I asked if we can put in a prior for ONLY the crown and pinion. He said he can't do that.. he 'needs' approval from Toyota 1st.
So I called the Manager at Toyota Customer Assistance (I managed to get her #). She sounded annoyed and said that's not in her ball park - to go back to the dealer and he needs to contact the Warranty Department.
So I called him (strangely he was too busy to take my details) and am calling him again in the morning..
I am hoping that they will at least put a 'Prior' for the crown and pinion (they come as a set), and at worst i pay for other damage.. (eg. bearings).. hmmm...
Im getting really annoyed at them...
