Hi,
Is the standard 16" rim which was fitted to Navara 4WD in the 90's suitable for use on a 2000 Mazda Bravo 4WD?
The stud pattern looks the same and the offset the same within about 3mm but the centre hole is larger on the Navara.
I only want it for a second spare.

Any thoughts?

If it's only a second spare I am sure it will do. Just put it on at home to make sure it fits.

Wouldn't matter if my 2nd spare was from a commodore as it has never been on my ute. Even the 1st spare has only been used once when I went too low on pressure and broke the bead on the beach. I didn't have a compressor then so had to change it.

Last time i replaced my tyres I asked the guy at the tyre store about getting a second spare wheel for my Navara. He advised to get one from a wreckers yard as he'd heard of problems due to that larger hole in the wheel not being right on some aftermarket wheels. Apparently they don't sit right and put stress on the stud leading to premature failure. If i were you I'd try a wreckers and get an OEM Bravo wheel

Hi Phil

Not sure about the navara wheel, but I got two spare rims from South west Four wheel drive wreckers here in Toowomba. They seem to be pretty hard to come by but I managed to get two of them for $55.00 each. I would personally go for that option but that depends whether you can get the rims or not.

Know someone who wanted to do the reverse - 91 Bravo stock rim as a spare for a 2002 Navara - no go - not sure of the technicality but it was a bummer..... rims can be such pain (well, cars in general !).

Hey phil,

I just fitted 15 x 7 sunraysia's on my 2000 courier. They're stamped as navara on the rim and box, they fit great, cost me $65 each brand new.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Sounds as if it will do as the second spare anyway.
