Looked at the latest Patrol the other day and I don't know whether its my imagination but it appears to be more narrower inside & outside than the one that it replaced. Might be biased but the old dash seems to look better also. I was waiting for this model to come out with the idea of buying one, but after looking at the the above and the terrible orange peel paint, particulary on the flares I think Nissan have gone backwards. The old styling looked more Macho whereapon this new Dunehawk idea sounds good until you have a closer look. Don't own a 100 series Cruiser but the interior looks more spacious -- dash is nicer -- and the paint 200% better.( Pity about the front diff & independant F/S though). Makes it hard to update!

Compare the price of Patrol/Landcruiser.

Might make the choice easier.

Your dead right, but your stuck with the 3 LTR diesel if you want auto and that's not a easy choice.

I looked at the New Patrol yesterday. The best thing about it is it means there are run out deals on the older one.

Yep, saw them at the Adelaide camping show yesterday. I only looked the 4.2 version and even then, only at the business end. Radiator seems WAY too small. Still got room for 2nd battery and other vital stuff. Seems even more "plastic" than the current model. I should have had a look inside i spose, but why would I when i have no real plan to upgrade at this stage. Great to see they've kept the solid axle up front for the time being.

Roachie,
I think you will find that the intercooled 4.2td radiator is the same as the 4.8 petrol. The radiator has been reworked and is lower than my 4.2td patrol.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Had a drive (as a passenger) around the test track at the 4WD show in the new 4.2. A bit nicer than me old ute I have to say.

I went with the run-out of the previous model - signed up before the new model was released - very happy with the $ deal and the outcome - I prefer the previous shape also...
