Could someone please tell me what is required to disable the constant 4wd from an 80 series so it can be towed behind a bus by an A-frame
Cheers

Some on will correct me if I'm wrong so I'm wearing flame proof undies.
All four half shaft should be removed for flat "a" frame towing.
however on a couple occasions I have just dropped the front and rear tail shafts and let the diffs turn with out a problem.
I remember a freind with a Sierria that fitted lockable hubs to all his
wheels and sweared by it. All he did was turn all hubs out and towed it everwhere.

Gday ,
I spoke to a chap once at a caravan
park, he had a 100 series, we got talking about the front hubs, he told me he bought the car with constant 4wd, but had front lockable hubs put the front, he said too many workable parts on constant 4wd

Check out the 80 Series COOL site - I think I recall reading about this issue on there in the past.

Hi
You could simply put some AVM hubs on the front, and when unlocked, the vehicle could be towed (front
wheels on the road). Lock them and you are back to constant 4wd. Drive with the transfer locked and front hubs unlocked, you will have rear wheel drive only, unlock the transfer and you have an undriveable cruiser.

Can't you just put the transfer case into neutral or am I missing something?
