It's been so long since I fired up my Chescold 3 way fridge I cant remember if I am supposed to fit a regulator in the gas line. Commonsense tells me I should but I can't find it, which is making me ask myself if it ever existed.

Can someone help please? What type of regulator etc.

Thanks,

Jim.

Yes Jimbo, you certainly need a regulator. Not sure of the specs but I think it's the same as goes on a caravan or BBQ. It's a low pressure system on the fridge for sure. Cheers. PS you'd be able to buy a hose and regulator at any camping shop if you can't find yours.

If a regulator was regulating, and no regular regulars seen it regulating, then regale in the fact that the regulatory statutory requires that regulators shall regulate until regular transmission is resumed regularly. I think....... that's if it existed......

Cheers

I'm regular.....Wolf

Jimbo,
You really should be firing up the Chescold every month or so for a day or so to keep the gases flowing or so i am told. My 40 litre is 12 or so years old and i fire it up every so often, still functioning. IMHO.

Jimbo,
I sometimes run it on 240 for months on end especially around Christmas.

Mine is 14 years old, often sits for 8- 10 months without getting used. (I have a 12v compressor fridge which gets far more use.)

Ther is NO need to "fire them up" regularly- just keep it in a clean, dry place. (Block gas line holes to keep insects out)
Cheers

Do what bros does or use it as a beer fridge they work better if used alot, and if when u turn it on and it doesn't seem to be working properly turn it upside down for 2 or 3 hours (off of course) and it will get it working well again.

Jimbo,
Have also found the gas jet made up with gunge and after a blow out with air worked perfectly again.
Cheers,
