Some of you may have read about the new members photo gallery that is being built (see post 17068). The photo gallery is now shown on the members rig/profile page. You may also notice that I have changed the
forum footer for members to show Rig/Profile & Msg rather than just the Member Msg button. This is designed to make better use of the rig/profile page.
You can still send a member msg however now it is one more click to the Msg function via the Rig/Profile page, to allow compensate for the extra click and to provide enhanced functionality I have added in the My Profile page some new options near the end of the page. These are Rigs/Profile Show Email and Rigs/Profile Show Web and these are designed to do just that allow you the option to show your web site address (with hyperlink) and/or your email address (with hyperlink). This means that non members can also see your email address if you decide to enable this setting.
NOTE: Web email spiders & crawlers may process your rig/profile page and collect your email and web details. If you do not want this to happen then do not enable these options and rely on the Member Msg function (this hides all email details). The choice is yours. I already know a large number of people do in fact have their email addresses listed in the Rig/Profile page, so this feature will make this a lot easier.
To see it in action just click on the Rig/Profile & Msg button in my signature, you will see the updated rig/profile page (with links to my email and IT Beyond's website) and also the photo gallery system.
Enjoy!

No not a coopers per stubby holder. The beer is more expensive than the holder.
The next thing will be the abilty to add your gallery pics directly into
forum threads. The photos will be visible in the thread while the thread is active and will be removed when archived. This will cause the gallery photo to be locked until the thread is archived (if you get my meaning). We will also be adding the ability to purchase additional image space in your profile. Something like packs of 10, 20 or 50 images. It will not cost much, really only trying to cover traffic charges however you will be able to build a large gallery hosted on the Internet at a really good price. So for most people this new Rig/Profile page will make a really nice website for your ExplorOz type acivities. Hope you guys like it of course you can link directly to your personal sites and have the link shown in your Rig/Profile page so you can have it either way. At least for the people without a website we have now added the ability to have one.
Oh yeah the extended gallery options will allow for section headings such as Trip to
Alice Springs (6 pics), Vehicle setup (10 pics) etc. So within the extended gallery options you will be able to divide the images up.
So this is what is next for the gallery system!

David,
Down at the bottom of the Rig/Profile & Msg page under the heading
PAGE SPONSORSHIP the sentence does not appear to read correctly.
"If you are a..........? of this page etc etc etc".
Am i missing something.
Cheers,
Bros.

Bros,
This is presented on various pages around the site where we except page sponsorship from our advertisers. It is not related directly to you however we put this message up to advise advertisers that they can become sponsors of the Rig/Profile page.

I think David misunderstood you.
I had exactly the same problem for a long while not being able to read certain parts of the page and only certain HTML letter groups. Then I got rid of my Norton Antivirus Program completely and since then the pages have read correctly and I have had no further problems

Oh (thank Willem), You may be experiencing one of the wonders of the Norton Security Centre program. I cannot understand why the Norton system does what it does for the most case however the problem you have is because the next word/link that you cannot see has the word advertising in the url. So because of this Norton chucks away the rest of the sentance. You will also find that our site navigation does not work for you because the 500 odd lines of script that are loaded has the word advertising in it. You will also not be able to see pictures in trader display ads (oh you may not even see the word I just typed however it is a d s because they have the word ad in the URL, so no pics for you. I have looked at coding around this and moving files around to get around the issue however it seems to be a waste of time, next they will ban the word or string www beacuse it is the Internet.
If you are running Norton Security Centre - I would suggest you turn off the ad blocker/detector as it is killing your access to not only stuff at ExplorOz but stuff all over the net. The other solution is to create rules to allow everything from sites that you trust.
Good luck - might I suggest that you disable Norton when you next visit your favorite sites and see just what you may have been missing due to this product.

Would be nice if people used it to post a piccy of themselves! Don't know about anyone else but I find people more interesting than cars: see one Cruiser with wogpole and six spare tyres and you've seen them all... Went to have a look at Willem's website the other day, for example, and find that having seen his beard really helps when reading his messages :-)
Might even set an examplet with a mugshot of my own ugly self.
