Hi all Nissan fans

I am looking at sourcing a couple of Nissans (mid 1990s models) from Japan. What models and types are there within the Patrol or Safari range? Specifically looking for a mid wheel based or short wheel based models but am not too sure about the various types, models and things to look out for.

Cheers

There are no mid wheelbase models
LWB and SWB.
Most of the imports seem to be Shortys. Most also seem to be autos that I have seen.

Amazingly they all have under 80,000klms! ITS A MIRACLE..
Dont believe the speedo readings, there is no law on winding back clocks BEFORE they arrive in Australia.

What models?
Most imports seem to be either ST or Ti Spec. Ti is the works, ST is one step down from that.

what to look out for click here.

Tread carefully they may at the time appear to be a good buy but some of the spare parts are not the same as those on the 'local' models may not be compatable.
As Truckster says don't believe the milage, there was an instance here in WA a couple of years ago where a guy, before he was 'busted', was importing 4wd and cars from Japan and while they were enroute the speedos were being doctored, there were instances of 4wds with 20 -30 000 on the clock blowing motors. If you do decideto go ahead, get it thoroughly checked out by reliable and suitably qualified mechanic.

Wil,
By getting one local at least there may be some comeback.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

I remember looking at a safari myself, and if I remember correctly the electrical system is 24volts.
