Next week marks the end of field season with me being the support for a 20 vehichle tagalong work is conducting so I have taken the step with heavy heart of sighning up for a new job rather than face the boredom of being stuck in town all summer. It has been fun over the last few months covering the rarely visited areas s/e of
norseman and n/w of Kalgoorlie trying to see how much punishment a landcruiser would take ( a recent visitor was amazed we took such old beat up vehicles out - should have seen his face when he was told it had 8k on the clock) The new job will still involve going out bush for exploration but with less extreme conditions and a base
camp. I was umming and arghing about it until he broke out the big guns and showed me the f 350 I would be using to tow the caraven -
yea. All that is left now is to try for a few days off east of
esperance as a break between jobs
