My windscreen on my 98 Disco has developed a mottled appearance when wet. I don't drive often at night but did so on Wenesday during the rain and almost came to grief when I lost all road vision duing the rain when approached by on coming lights.

The wiper action makes it worse. I am thinking that I either have some sort of resin (sap etc) smeared on the screen or else it may be delaminating with age.

Any thoughts on how to clean? I have tried metho and commercial window cleaner.

G'Day Empty,
You could try citric acid. I've used it to remove gum tree sap of my screen and it worked well. You could also check your insurance policy .... like mine, some have one replacement screen included.

Bazza.

Either give your wiper blades a clean with fine wet & dry or replace them.
