Towbar,
full length Rhino roof rack,
dual bat,
ARB comp' and lockers F + R

Wisey,

Stuck at work on a Saturday night, don't I know how that feels!

Not sure about the price, sounded a bit exe at first but that is a serious list of extras and they do cost money.

However when I think about that list I see a car that has done some serious work. The parts that have been resprayed suggest a prang and the mileage is slightly higher than average, my 2001 model has 60k and it doesn't stay parked for long.

I personally would shy away from it unless I could confirm it's history. Check if the manual is in the glovebox and look up original owner, then give them a call. Find out what caused the respray at least and decide form there.

Hi Duncs

undercarriage did not seem to be scratched or dinged on muffler or any other part.
Redbook has a suggested private sale price for $34K- to $39K. So with extras I thought it was a reasonable price. I will try to find the owners name to ask about the damage and repair.

Hi Duncs

history in g/box shows car is from Leeton/ Narandra, so country mileage might add the extra K's. Servicing was regular, I didn't look preciscley but the last showed at 105k

The unfortunate reality (for sellers) is that accessories are pretty worthless. This strikes me as a normal tarted up dealer car - and I'm sure if you spent some time and got the price down about 10-15%, it would become a good deal.

Just for your own reference check this out SA Govt Auctions

There is a tabe showing prices paid at auction over the past couple of months, with a brief description of the car. Might be worth a trip to Adelaide??

Cheers

Wisey,

As stated above, the accessories aren't really worth that much. The vehicle itself, in my opinion wouldn't be worth that much with 109k's on it. Keep looking for one.

In the end, up to you. Would find it hard to believe that the truck with ome suspension and f and r lockers hasn't done some hard work.

Cheers

Chris.

Wisey,

The other thing I forgot to mention is to look at the way the accessories have been fitted. Does it look neat and tidy? If you paid someone top dollar to fit them, would you be happy? The other question is do you need or want those extras? No point in paying for them if you don't need them.

Nerrandera could explain the extra miles and so could the big trip up north. That could also explain some of those extras. Nice to have if travelling solo and a roo could explain the damage.

I bought a second hand GU. It had just a couple of accessories fitted but they looked really good. Neat, well thought out, not just stuck in any old how. It is a good car and I am very happy with it. So is my mechanic and that is important.

Could be a good buy especially if you can negotiate the price. I'd say it is worth investigating.

Thanks CHRIS and DUNCS,

Was a fisheries vehicle so as they travel solo most of the time the lockers would be useful.
Damage is more than first seen so it will stay on the lot. I'm in no hurry

That's very wise Wisey. Sorry couldn't resist that one. Taking your time I mean. If that is how Fisheries set up there vehicles it could well be worth watching them, they can't all have prangs
