Aftermarket glove boxes

For those that have fitted the after market glove box to their GU patrol and have trouble keeping it closed my fix may work for you. I've used the magnets from a hard drive as suggested on this site. Cut the magnets off the backing plate. In my case the left hand side of the lid was the one not holding. Glue one piece of magnet to the dash, Glue the other piece to the lid with an 8mm spacer. Therefore lifting the magent off the lid by 8mm. Glue a couple of brass washers to one of the magnets to stop them coming into contact. If the magnets come into contact you'd never open the lid or simply tear off the glued magnet. So far it's worked, if the other side starts opening I'll just do the same.

P.S. got one of those "Michelle's Sacks" on the dash mat to hold the UHF, Phone, Glasses, etc. Money
well spent
