I have put up with the complaints from motorists behind me for long enough (view from in front is fine - dont know what they are whinging about) and after checking out the low cost options such as air filters and edic motorfuel position, I have taken my 2h powered l/c around to the experts. So for all you smoking 2h motor owners on Friday I will give you the verdict as well as the cost

Thick black smoke from a diesel usually means that your fuel is not being burnt correctly as the smoke is simply unburnt fuel. Had a similar problem with my my 80 Series and I had the injectors done and the seals on the fuel pump - cost me nearly $1500 :-(

However it fixed the problem and she went well and fuel econonmy improved, so it was worth it.

Hope all goes well with yours.

LOL, I'm on my second diesel now and yeah I did too! :-)
It's cool for tail gators, drop the overdrive off and plant your foot to the floor. ha ha.

and let someone else disconnect a bullbag from a diesel exhaust - then tell them there is no water to clean themselves. This is the reason we are getting stuck with over complicated high pressure diesels that won't run on anything other than the cleanest of fuel - a real bitch in the bush. rgds
Slow down and relax......
