Evening All,
I currently have a 60 Series Cruiser which I tow a trailer around town with. The trailer weighs 1 ton (average) I have BFG 33x 10.5 's A/T on the car and was thinking of using the chrome split rims that I have with 7.50 x 16 tyres for around town and the 33's off road. Am I right that the smaller 7.50 's will give better power at take off and hills. The trailer is used for mowing so you can imagine that there is a fair degree of stop/ start stuff involved.
If you could confirm that I am right in my assumption it would be appreciated.
Regards
Mark

Having the smaller diameter tyres on your Cruiser will lower the gearing. So you will get better take off but higher revs for a given speed.
So you are right.

Mark,
Some 60's came out with 205x16's on the chrome rims, as standard. These would give you even better gearing, for towing the Victa's. Is the same tyre used on Hilux.
Hooroo...
