hi everyone
Id like to do a suspensions lift on my suzuki sierra. I am looking at a calmini 3.5" lift. Is there any way I can get a permit in W.A for a big lift like this??? Would cops bother me? i want to put 31's on it so its not going to be massive.
Any help appreciated.

Not sure about WA but in Qld you can only go 2in lift and 15mm larger diameter tyres over standard.
In some States you can get an Engineering Certificate to cover bigger mods. Best to contact your RTA.

WA has changed recently and 3.5in was no go before they got strict... A zook with 3.5 would attract cops at 10000ft.. it would look nothing like a stocky.
Contact a good 4wd mob that do mods. apparently the costs of engineers and crap in WA now and the full swerve testing etc you wont want to bother.

Yeah it's such a load of crap hey, I tell you what I'd love to see them put our 1 year old stock mitsubishi express van through the same "swerve test" they demand modded 4wds to go through, the bloody thing doesn't swerve unless you wind the steering wheel around one whole turn! LOL
Not to mention it just about flips over when a truck goes past you in the opposite direction!!

Before you get too carried away give Bruno Marcheesi (I think that's how you spell it) at DPI a call and he will let you know what is what. Most only require an inspection and a mod cert. issued. It isn't that difficult. rgds
