Dear Jack owners (and other knowledgable folk),

I recently discovered my front parkers weren't working (backs are ok). With both parkers out I thought it must be a fuse, but .... I can't find an appropriately labelled fuse in either the under bonnet fuse holder or the fuse holder in the panel beside the accelerator.

Any ideas?

Also (in case it might be the globes), I assume I have to remove the front parkers to get to the globes, but how do I do this? I've got as far as removing the top screw in the assembly, but can't see where to go from there.

Rob.

Hey Rob

Pretty sure there is no fuse just for the parkers, maybe they run of the headlight / tail light fuses. Just checked out the manual and confirms no parkers fuse. If all other lights are working, I would think it was just the bulbs.

Are they the parkers in the main headlight assembly or parkers in part of a bull bar / bumper bar??

cheers

Adam

Thanks for the reply Adam.

It's a standard setup (no bullbar) with the blinker/tail light assembly located beside and outside of the headlight, but I can't see how to remove the assembly to check the globes.

If it is like the Rodeo the bulb comes out behind the assembly. Just turn the plastic bit where the wires come out and see what happens.

I have a 98 SE. Never had to change mine, but I have upgraded the main headlight bulbs & I assume it would be the same as that. At the back of the light just turn the globe housing. If it is the same as the headlights its a pretty tight area to get to.

Cheers

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure that the wires just disappear into the rear of the lens assembly, unlike most arrangements where the globe holder is like a bayonet fitting into the assembly.

Took mine out once - trying to remember - baffling isn't it - it turned out to be very simple !! Its held in more with design lugs than screws - undo the top screw that you can see - that should be it - it needs a wriggle and a biff and it should "pop-out" in a certain direction - goes back in reverse.

Thanks Banjo, that is indeed what was required to get it out - a wriggle and a biff and it poped out in a rush. Once it's out there are bayonet fittings for the globes - easy as. And yes, both front parker globes were blown.

Thanks to all who responded.
