We have a 1990 (NG) turbo diesel Pajero 2.5ltr. It's just racked up 250,000 km's. Can anyone let me know whether it is likely to last for much longer (it's had a reasonable service history & had head replaced at about 185,000 km's by previous owner). How many km's has yours done?? Any major problems linked to this engine??

Gary,
These diesel Pajeros have a service life of around 500,000 klms so I am quite surprised to find that it needed a head job at 185k.
Still, the rest of the engine should get to the 500k mark as long as you replace the cam belts and oil etc on a regular basis.
You could try asking Pajero specific questions on the Pajero Owners
forum as you will get a lot of educated and useful responses there.
Stick with this
forum for more general queries and in particular travel questions and advice.
