I am looking for a new set of front shock absorbers for my 1996 Navara. I recently had the torsion bars adjusted to raise the ride height and a extra leaf in the back to help with ride height and rear sag. The vehicle has Monro Gas front shocks which have only done 20,000km and have really lost their damping ability after my last trip (The
Gibb River Rd). i am very disappointed with my experience with the current Monro shocks. I have been advised by a local
suspension company (in
Darwin) to fit Old Man Emu front shocks. Can anybody give me some advice on Navara front shocks or Old Man Emu shocks.

Got a 99 navara with Old Man Emu shocks, torsion bars and springs and the ride over standard is great. Not sure hw it would go with OEM bars and such but I'm happy.

Been running Old Man Emu shocks all around for about 12 months. Have proved
to be a brilliant shockie on our somewhat uneven surfaces.
Cant comment on the Navara. Nevara had one!!!
Cheers.

basically pretty happy with the OME complete setup on my rig although i have sagged a little in 6 months but this will be remedied.
the ride height could be a little higher but typical ifs drama.
the OME softens up the ride a little i reckon and are not too hard like a few others.
And no i dont work for ARB!
although i guess i sponsor them via my wallet!
cheers
