petrol or diesel?? i have the diesel fits fine have to move the water washer bottle a bit further up and is a tight fit but overall fits well looks neat.. also have to remove both batteries to get to the light globe.. only problem i had was that the terminals were a little high and used to hit the bonnect thus shorting things out make sure you make it as low as possible..

need any help let me know

if your facing the front of the car you move the water bottle and bracket back about a foot and turn the bateries long ways im using delco 520 batteries they sit flush next to eachother. the battery tray that was in my car when purchased was about 2inch thick which caused to terminals to kiss the bonnet (took me ages to work out what was wrong) made a custom tray and put some caps over the terminals (rubber) got them from local servo.. ill try to organise a pick for you tonight..

The Surf - which is much the same as the 4Runner already has 2 batteries - factory fitted. If you can get a squizzy at one of these, you may get an idea of just what is different with yours. I think that the 4Runner airbox is where my Surf (KZN 130W) left battery is situated - maybe a different (or Surf) airbox is what U need.

I've got a 1995 Rv6 4runner. Asked around local places and they told me I couldn't fit a dual battery setup in. I didn't belive them so I went to another dealer and asked, he said it's not a problem. just have to use a smallish bettery, but better still to have two batteries than one flat out in the bush.

It sits on the drivers side wheel arch behind the original battery. SO far haven't had a problem and the battery has helped me out to run laptop, lights and uhf etc. So far can't complain. Just ask around a few places there are some willing to help and others not after your business.

Cheers.

Hi
Here's a pic of my UK 4Runner 3.0TD:

Two batteries, one starter, one accessories, thinking of putting a third in: second starter battery in parallel.
