Just got back from a week east of
esperance. From balladonia I took the tracksouth to mt ragged withstops at balbinya
ruins and juranda rockhole. The climb up mt ragged is difficult but worth it with the sae book up the top I wrote in 2yr ago. Up until this pont the track was pretty good but gets stony and rough after it forks to the west. I turned of the ballidonia road along a
cleared line that follows the parks
boundary past mt baring to fisheries road and then on to poson
creek. There were some good holes at the eastern end of
the beach which yielded good fish between gales. I then took the track that heads over cape pasely to the top of mt pasely and beyond to a series of beaches and headlands - great view. I then headed west to alexander beach and later to east rock which has a very muddy and rutted access track and followed
the beach around to the towering tagon point. I then headed back via munglingup beach and
Esperance stopping off at mt ridley to check out the fascinating graniteformations. Low tides meant all beaches were easy going and I used 135l of fuel for the 700k between ballidonia and
esperance

Davoe - to put the fuel consumption figures into some sort of perspective - what vehicle were you using? (as I know you have a habit of not using your own:)
Cheers

dammit! had to use my own it is a 3t hzj campervan custom built with the old 2h motor it is 2.7 m high so I was fairly happy with the fuel as most of the way was track driving 30-60kph and the rest was beach with just a bit of good gravel road. beach conditins were excellent otherwise it may have used more
