replacment motor for hilux

Hello learned gents,and ladys.
Can any body tell me if the 3 litre hilux turbo diesel motor, will bolt up to my 2.4litre,2l gearbox.
The old girl is set up just the way I want it, and only needs a heart transplant to see another 50000ks or so.
If not what about a 2.8 3l ? but I heard that my turbo manifold won't bolt up.
All advice appreciated.

Reading on outerlimits ( theres only about 1000 thread on it) no wont bolt up...
have a search there.
3.0's arent cheap

trucksters rite about the 3 litre I think. but the 2.8 will bolt up, however whether the turbo manifold bolts up depends on whether your motor is early or late surf or a 2L with aftermarket turbo or a Bundera motor. Just about all will fit after drilling and tapping 4 holes in the head, not a huge job for someone with the
tools and know how.
