Hi,

Recently became a member of this forum and wonder if anyone out there can shed some light on a problem I currently have. My vehicle is a 91, 4.2 Diesle TI.

The problem I am experiencing is that I have pressure on the oil guage but the little red light on the dash will not go out.
Would anyone have any ideas as to what the problem can be???

Thanks

Classic problem with Nissan oil pressure sender. I have found in the past a gentle blowing out with compressed air can help but if this doesn't fix it then it's time to replace it with a new one from Nissan. Because it registers on both gauge and warning light there is nothing available aftermarket so genuine Nissan is the go.
Regards Andrew.

Yes there are 2 senders.one connected to light and one to guage.both are crappy and always fail.....replace with new one ($) never problem again.

This is a proplem with nearly all nissan's with high kms on the sender units.Ive have very good success with drilling out the sender units to 1.5mm, then cleaning them. It works on the guage units as well as thelgt units.
