I am looking at purchasing a 14'6 x 7'6 Windsor Rapid with off road pack. When looking at them I can't help noticing the gaps around the beds when they are folded out (the little gaps where the canvas meets).
Can anyone who owns a rapid tell me if they have found that insects or flys etc enter the van when cooking or out in the bush.

Hi Ratty,
If you look closely, there is actually velcro there but it often pulls out with the opening and closing of the hatch. I used to make sure I pushed it back into plaqce originally, but haven't done so for ages now, mainly because i have never had any bug problems.
Only major problem I've had with bugs was one summer night when my 5 year old son left the lights on and door open, now that was a swarm!!! In practise, far more problems with kids leaving the door open than anything else.
Cheers
Captain

make sure you dont take the windsor rapid off the bitumen. read the smallprint......no warranty off the black top!!!! mind you, that's the least of your problems.. windsor has to be the worst manufacturer around! -had one built for me and after 3 months told them to jam it and refund my money. they did after threatining legal action!!!
