Hi All,
After many seach variations I was unable to find any past discussions on spark plugs and peoples experiences...
I am about to do my 200k km service on my 4.2EFI GQ patrol, and instead of getting the NGK as I always do - which have never failed or broken down I thought it might be worth trying the champion or Bosch brands..
What are others using? are others using the higher performance/long life plugs (platinum and iridium) in the older engines? My plugs are come out every 10k kms, and come out very clean....
regards
Bryan

I too run NGK in my EFI duel fuel GQ, if you're happy with them why change?

My thoughts exactly Ferret, but I thought it was worth asking the question incase I was blindly replacing them with standard NGK, when other with GQ's had found the newer technology plugs better.. and reading the posts, the NGK Iridium plugs appear the ones to go for..
Thanks for your feedback.

Check post 15974.
NGK Iridiums get a big thumbs up in a number of different vehicles.

Dual fuel 4.5lt Troopy. Recently replaced the Bosch Super 4's (4 prongs) after 100,000ks with a second set of the same. The physical appearance of the old plugs made me wonder as to why I was replacing them... but with the new one's in there was a bit more zing in the old girl.

Thanks everyone who replied, it appears the NGK Iridium plug are the ones to go for. Even if I dont leave them for the full 100K kms, at least I wont have to climb inside the engine bay to replace the back ones every 10k kms :-)
once again, thanks for the replies
