Super Cheap have a special at the moment on a rechargeable Spotlight for $7.95.
I've had one of these for over a year and they leave a torch for dead. Weigh about the same as a Dolphin with twice the light output and you simply keep recharging it rather than replacing batteries. It has a SLA so don't let it get completely flat.
Buggered if I know how they do them so cheap.
Get one while you can.
Cheers,
Jim.

Mate,
It's got me knackered how they do it. I bought one for a mate of
mine who thought they were a great deal at $15.
I'll give it to him (spotlight that is) and he'll think I'm the second coming of the lord.
Jim.

i recieved 1 for xmas about to years ago, it lasted about a year, went to use it again no go, so i charged it and still no go, i must admit that i rarely used it, so therefore, it probbly just lack of use, and lack of recharging that made it fail, but hey when it was working, it had great brightness, and if u dropped it its only $10 bucks, better value than a dolphin where the batteries cost more than the torch :o)

At a practical level: the _instant_ you notice the light output start to
drop off stop using the torch and recharge it. These lights are great
value but it is _very_ easy to kill their batteries.

If those prices are too low, just saw a second hand one in the Cash Coverters store at Kilkenny SA for $35 !! (the very one I bought for $8.50). Caveat emptor !
