Howdy all,
I have a 2000 Frontera SE and was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the electric side mirrors to check the wiring.
I had some major hail damage repaired earlier this year and the mirrors have not worked properly since. They only move in 3/4 directions and seem to be in reverse (down=up etc).
I don't have the time at the moment to wait for the panel place to "fix" the problem, so I'm hoping someone has some helpful advice to offer...
Thanks.

I can send you a pdf with the wiring diagrams (if that helps). If they are going in reverse, then they are most likely wired incorrectly.

Not sure how that would happen if the plugs are supposedly polarised.

What's your email?

ok will send through a bit later tonight.

btw ... I just looked at my jackaroo. If it's anything like that, then the black cover on the inside of the door just pops off revealing two bolts (and some wiring for tweeters in the case of the Jack). Undo the bolts, while supporting the mirror and it should just come away from the door.

Thanks,
I'll take a look at my mirror setup when I get home.
If the files are too big for hotmail (2mb) send a blank mail and i'll give you another address to try.
