Hi, does anyone out ther know if it's possible to fit an ARB bullbar to my 2002 Mitsubishi Challenger I'm keen on steel as there are plenty of roos in my area. Any and all ideas would be appreciated.

According to my ARB catalogue, they only make them for pre Late 2000 models. Doesn't look like they make one for your 2002 model.
$1104 + $88 fitting Bullbar
$1188 + $88 fitting Winchbar

Thanks Utemad, Irealise they don't specifically make them fof the 2002 Challenger but was wondering if anyone has had a go trying to make one fit.
The local ARB bloke seems to think that with a bit if work it might be possible. Just trying to find out if anybody has attempted to. I'm not sure but ECB may also make a steel bar for them?
Thanks again

Well not sure about the Challenger but I know the differences between the 97 Rodeo bar and the 98-03 bar is that the later one is airbag compatible. The later bar is also slightly different in front of the grille as the grille sits lower in the later model.
So as long as they are airbag compatible (I assume an 02 Challenger has airbags) then it shouldn't be too hard. It's not like the chassis spacing is going to have changed.

I looked into doing this myself.
In theory the Triton one would fit as the challenger uses a triton Chassis.
The main problem is that you would be breaking the law.
Even if you use a air bag compatable bar because it has not been crash tested on a challenger you are beaking ADR's.
If you try to make a insurance claim you will most likely have the claim rejected cause of the whole illegal thing and have to wear the cost yourself.
I spent a heap of time trying to find a steel/whinch bar for my 03 challenger and they are not made.
The arb one made for earlier models should fit but fitting it would be illegle
I ended up puting a alloy bar form Parkside bullbars in WA and a set of spotties.

Thanks Voodochild,
Was theTJM bar you had fitted steel or alloy - I'm real keen to get a steel bar, as from what I've seen most alloy bars tend to limit damage. Where as the steel bars often come out with no damage at all. My understandind is that the Challengeris built on the Triton chassis and is capable of handling a steel bar.
