help wanted 91 nissan patrol

i got a drama with my 1991 nissan patrol front electric window winder. the plastic bush between the motor and the winder sharft has stripped. i went to nissan and they only sell the whole winder unit for $273. does anyone know of a after market job i can score . its not worth $273 for a plastic bush any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with mine a few years ago. There isn't an aftermarket one, all you can you is phone around the wreckers. Mine cost $100 in the hip pocket, a bit dear but still the cheapest in town. Those guys really know how to work you for every cent.

Have you got an engineering machine shop close by? For between $15 to $50 depending on how they charge they can machine one from nylon rod. You might need to take the other side one out as a sample.
I made a couple of my own on the lathe at work.

i was going to suggest as vince did but he bet me to it.
but i might add if you do get one made up wont cost much more to get 5-10 made up keep some for spares and flog the rest of.

thanks for ya help . i'll have to make sumthing up. its B S that they're allowed to have a part thats designed to wear out like that then not being eble to replace it unless you spend big bucks to get half the stuff you dont need. its almost criminal. anyway thanks and be good.
