If its not flies it's mosquito's inside the camper trailer. I avoid spraying near the canvas because I heard somewhere long time ago that the spray effects the waterproofing of the canvas.
Wive's tale or true.
Thanks - Boogum.

I have been told to do two things with my new tent.
1. Drown it several times to seal it, and
2. don't put flyspray near the canvas.
This guy was in the canvas business. I believe him!!

Indeed - only things on canvas are
water and a brush for cleaning - nothing else at all - nothing - not even detergent - it won't wreck the canvas, but it will leave a stain for sure ! (detergent does!).

I recently camped for one night at the
Kimberley Entrance Caravan
Park in
Derby. I awoke the next morning to find the tent totally covered in tiny Singapore ants. During the night they had eaten about one hundred pin-holes through the canvas of my near new $1200 tent. I tried shaking and brushing them off, but there were too many, so I bought a can of fly/insect spray and in a not very happy mood by now, emptied the entire contents onto them (and the tent). When I arrived home, I set the tent up and gave it a couple of soakings with
water, and it appears that the spray hasnt affected it at all.... I suppose time will tell.
