When we did the
Newman to Karajini run last year, I expected to find where to access Mt Meharry (known as the highest point in WA). Not even a mention of it on the roadside signage, although other peaks we passed were signed, together with height above sea level. I had read that you can drive to
the summit. Anyone done this drive? How do you get there? Thanks Guys, Motherhen

awwww cmon 5 years ago I found my way out there in the dark with a crappy raod atlas of australia book in a 1978 nissan campervan not that hard but you are right there was no sighnage until after
packsaddle camp. I headed down the northern highway until I was adjacent to meharry and hooked a right which led past pack saddle
camp where a sighn said mt meharry 20k 4wd only. There is a track to the top but that looked beyond my nissan e20 from memory it looked ok but why not get the xcersise fantastic
views to the karinjini. Some maps show it in the karanjini and some dont

Motherhen,
Found the same when we were up that way. You definitely can drive to the top - I saw an article in a 4WD mag years ago and I also know that its a popular 4WD daytrip for many of the
Newman locals. Perhaps one of them can tell the rest of us how to get there.
