Have you looked at Gabriel foam cell.
I use them. Done 35 000 k now doing 1 off road trip a month and had no trouble.
Price is right too.
You have to look at what vehicle its going in and what work you are going to subject them too.
I heard a rumour that OME are rebadged Monroes but I will stand corrected as it was only a RUMOUR.

I have a pic of pedders, ome and monroe shocks at a place where a new machine is being made to slap labels on them.....obviously all made at the one place but that not to say they all perform the same.

I've got OME on my vehicle and so they will be on my newer one. Have several mates with the OME
suspension as
well.
OME shocks are made by Monroe (as are lots of shocks) but are made to OME's specs.
I have heard some good reports on Magnums , but never used them myself. I understand they are single tube design , whereas the OME's have twin tubes.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to "try before you buy" with shocks.
The problem with shocks (and other bits) is that they are generally significant dollars and long term. So whatever choice you make, you are pretty
well stuck with for a while.
I have OME and am very happy with them. But I am comparing them to the original shocks on a Jackaroo which had done 80000kms. I couldn't tell you how they'd compare with the Monroe (or Pedders).
Monroe do build the shocks for OME here in Australia (I think it's the only shock absorber factory in the country anyway), but they are likely to be to OME specs internally and not just generic Monroe specs.
I think you would find that the Monroe and Pedders will be identical (except for colour), but the OME may be valved differently.

Go with OME,
I have had Pedders and they are full of Bull$$$$ just like their Adds.
Two vehicles with OME and never a problem.

Yep, OME Nitrochargers are made by Monroe but are valved to OMEs specs. This is to match them to their spring rates. Thats why you buy a
suspension package.
