Please travelers 'what are t he chances of getting into cape leveque in January - by 4wd?- is it at all passable at that time or is it a bad time?

The road is much, much better than in days gone by but given that January is in the wet season I would say that your chances would be minimal at best. I am unsure as to whether or not the road is officially closed during these months so perhaps you could try the ranger for clarification.

Fiona,unless the cyclone is coming or it is just gone you should have no problems getting in there. Road into Cape Leveque is maintained extremly well and it is only closed right after heavy rain.
