Glenn (VIC)
Hello all,
I have just received my new i.Trek CF GPS and I am having difficulties getting it to work on my Compaq 3970 Pocket PC. I have tested it on my laptop and it works OK, but I cant seem to pick up a comm port. I have run the GPS Info executable with no luck. I have a CF Expansion pack that the CF GPS slots into. Can anybody help me?
Cheers

Hi Glen,
I have the same set up as you and
mine uses com 5 for the CF sleave.
A great little unit for the price! I'm running OziExplorer, Destinator3, GPS Dash and Follow Me software. Unfortunately I can only run one program at a time, because each one wants to hog the com port.

Just to let some people know, the i-Trek is a rebadged GPS brand. They take from Globalsat, Holux etc and place a little sticker on them. Not only that i_Trek is a USA company thus support comes from USA, warranty has to be back to USA. If you are clever enough to buy from ExplorOz, all GPS products have local support. local warranty and local care ;)
