put a 12ht in it much easier and more power. btw I own an hzj 75 with hj running gear so I can tell you the conversion can be done in reverse

cant give you any figures but I think the 12ht is around 130kw undoubtatly a 1hz turbo makes more power (I thought you were talking about a standard 1hz) HOWEVER I believe the 12ht to be a better motor than a turbo 1hz as all info I have heard is that 1hz can suffer problems when turboed. The 12ht is not just a 2h with a turbo as it has other mods for it to reliably take a turbo. Check out the post above (I think) about landcruiser sahara turbo diesal (same motor) for reliability testimonials

Thanks Davoe I didnt know they had other changes on the 2ht I thought it was just a 2h with a bolt on turbo,it would be a lot less mucking around to fit a motor that will bolt straight in rather than go to all the trouble and stress plus expence of fitting the 1hz I will do some looking around and see what I can find, thanks for all of your input it does sound like the right advice, much appreciated Davoe thanks mate.Cheers Scott

hey! this q has been asked before by matt. Go to the search function type in matt, click on topic and body, then use the calender next to start date and click on 17/11/02 then same with end date - some good info
and yea there are definitly a few subtle differences to oil gallerys I believe and there is no edic motor. there is one for sale on ebay for 7k I dont know what they are worth but sounds heaps rich coz it has 300k
