order them from Ashdown at northgate QLD. you can order on line or telephone sale them.
50 amp a bit large you might want to go to caterpiller type manual breaaker for that . other than that ashdown have blade type that replace nomal blade fuses.
It cost e a fortune but i never have to worry about finding the blown fuse again . just press a button and its reset. The only problem is on long corragations I have had 2 pop on me.

Shadow,
What do you mean by 'pop'?...Did they fail or trigger wrongly?
Thanks

triggered wrongly. I wa wondering why my AC dropped out then latter in the day noticed that my speedo failed.
Both time the breakers had triggered.Mind you it was 230 km of hard QLD corrigation .

Ashdowns mainly have dubious to poor quality components now as they have lost the agency for quality brands like Hella. Ashdown is just another REPCO company (Rip Every Poor Customer Off)
Ingrams have branches all over Australia and sell quality brands like Hella and Narva and you can buy with confidence from them.

For really good quality Outback Marine in Qld take some beating.
As with most stuff electrical beware of cheap circuit breakers as they tend to be very temperature sensitive.

Collyn,
Thank you...that would be the Blue Sea units.
Had a look at the Sterling website re: dc-dc type battery chargers,,,they certainly have a long winded way of describing their product?

Wok/Bonz
The best circuit breakers are marine units approved by UL, CSA, and Loyds. I'd recommend Heinemann, ETA and Carling. Blue Seas Ok but would prefer the others.
Specify as follows:
Conductor size (in sq mm) Circuit Breaker Rating
1.5 8 amps
2.5 16 amps
4.0 20 amps
6.0 30 amps
10 40 amps
16 60 amps
25 80 amps
35 100 amps
50 120 amps
DO note the above conductor sizes are sq mm (ie ISO) - they are not auto cable.
Further, circuit breakers protect feed cables against a short to earth. They should therefore be located as close to the battery as possible.
You can if you wish pick the circuit breaker to match the load current - but this is not essential. If you specify as shown above, the circuit breaker will not need to be changed if you make any additions to the load.
Re Sterling: I am aware of the latest products - but, as with others, I am puzzled about his very vocal and seemingly illogical dislike of AGM batteries.
Trust this helps
