I am looking at changing the coils from the standard to heavy duty coils as the front of the vehicle looks low having a bullbar and winch fitted. Does anyone know how this will change the off road ability? Will I have better wheel travel, what will it be like when lightly loaded?
Cheers

Stiffer coils are better for low carrying and highway speeds, softer coils are better for slow serious offroad work. So once again you've got to choose a compromise. I needed fairly stiff rear coils in my Patrol for towing a 1 tonne camper trailer, so I went for variable rate coils, that ride better when not loaded than standard coils.

That should be "load carrying" not "low carrying" :)
