Hi all, Heading up to Wombat this week end, ( for the first time,) wondering whats open/closed, worth seeing/ avoiding. Want to see this lovely
park, but also want to avoid " Over Trafficked" areas. Somewhere with a bit of a challenge would still be nice....
P.s., in a very
well equipped 100 series.
Regards
Jarrod.

If alone not enter any suspicious looking holes without first checking the depth and bottom, very easy to get stuck even with lockers and muddies.

Make sure you check the depth of all bog holes you came across or you will suddenly need some serious means of recovery.

One of my favourite trips is
Start:
South end of
Blue Gum Track
TR Holts Road
TL Nuggegty Track
TR
Blue Gum Track
TR Ractliffe Track, becomes No 1 Fire Break Track.
Finish on Carrolls Lane
Some very nice steep rocky climbs to test you out.

Seems to be a lot drier so a good alternative if you don't like the mud.
